Kwigy-Bo

Kwigy-Bo

The Chanel Inspired “Carrier” for Dogs

Olivia Corwin is the founder and CEO of Kwigy-Bo, a New York company that offers edgy and luxurious carriers, apparel, and accessories for dogs.  This trendsetting company stays ahead of the curve with their couture carriers and adorable apparel that will please any dog owner.  Their popular carrier handbags combine fashion with function.  Kwigy-Bo has been featured in magazines like InStyle, Lucky, People and more.  A multitude of celebrities, like Halle Berry, Blake Lively, and Sarah Jessica Parker, to just name a few have purchased Kwigy-Bo.

Kwigy-BoOlivia studied Art History at New York University and loved every minute of it.  She has always designed and styled her own clothing to establish her own personal fashion, and also enjoys expressing herself through cooking.  Naturally, her interest led her to pursuing a career in fashion.  Kwigy-Bo is unique because it was the first luxury dog accessory label on the market featuring stylish bags and turning them into secret dog carriers.  “We pride our selves on quality, function and of course design,” Olivia shares.  After graduating from college, she worked with her mom in manufacturing, as her family owns factories, and she always knew she wanted to do her own thing and launch her own company.  Olivia was not sure what direction to go, but shortly after getting her dog, Kiko, she began buying lots of clothing and accessories.  It was then that Olivia realized she could easily knit the very same sweaters she was buying and “Viola! Kwigy-Bo was born.”

Kwigy-BoIn sharing her favorite item from the Kwigy-Bo collection, Olivia admits she loves the Alex Bag, named after her dad.  It is their number one best selling item because the bag is lightweight and one does not need another bag since the Alex provides ample storage for wallet, keys, and more.  The plush, quilted animal-friendly leather and silver hardware with inner and outer pockets for storage makes this bag presentable and practical.  Inspired by the iconic classic Chanel handbag, the Alex bag is presentable because it easily fools everyone, including me, into thinking it is a regular handbag.  You cannot tell from looking at it that it is a dog carrier because it passes for a Chanel upon first glance.  This bag is practical because the roll down side flaps on both ends allow for complete concealment when you need your dog with you despite what the rules may be.  The inside has a removable quilted comfort pad and lastly, safety comes first as there is an interior safety strap.  So you can have your cake and eat it all in concealing your dog on the go while also looking like Coco Chanel.  The Alex bag is also airline approved on most airlines and available in small or large.

Kwigy-BoWe adore the Modern Fleece Chocolate Hydrant Bed for its modern and adorable style and extreme comfort.  This fleece bed in chocolate brown features an apple green applique yarn hydrant over polyfill pillows.  Even better is that the covers and inner pillow are removable for easy washing.  The fleece is fluffy soft and becomes softer with use and sure to be your dog’s favorite bed.  Available in extra small, small, medium, and large, this bed is perfect for a good night’s rest.  Olivia comes up with the designs for Kwigy-Bo and she is often inspired by whatever is happening in fashion or by her desire for new things.

Olivia is the proud owner of a Brussels Griffon named Kiko who she says, “will always be my first child.”  She has since had a baby boy, who also loves Kiko as much as she does.  Kwigy-Bo is sold in most upscale boutiques worldwide.  In the next five years, Kwigy-Bo is focused on “outfitting and accessorizing dogs and their owners around the world, one dog at a time.”  Kwigy-Bo continues to sell the same styles with new designs added seasonally.  Kwigy-Bo’s online store offers easy shopping anywhere, anytime and you can always find fabulous bargains in their clearance section.  All items have a six month limited warranty guarantee so that if an item is defective in material or workmanship under normal use within that time, Kwigy-Bo will exchange it free of charge.
