Wendy Mink Jewelry features a tantalizing collection of handcrafted necklaces, earrings, and bracelets created with high quality hand-cut Indian stones, gold vermeil, resin and sterling silver. Wendy began her own collection over 25 years ago and all pieces are created on site at her studio in New York City. Wendy Mink Jewelry is unique from other designs because all pieces are handmade in New York, using exclusively cut stones from India and high quality metals. A good number of celebrities, including Debra Messing and Oprah, adore and own Wendy Mink Jewelry.
Wendy was inspired to create beautiful jewelry and launch her own exclusive line after living in Nepal, traveling to India and Thailand, and experiencing the rich array of local crafts, textiles, jewelry, and the exotic nature of handmade goods. She was most inspired by the vibrant colors and varieties of designs displayed throughout India. Wendy is also extremely fond of Victorian jewelry as she possessed an early appreciation for it, and is an avid vintage jewelry collector. Her passion for colors and aspects of Victorian and Indian designs are evident throughout her pieces. Wendy has worked with a team of highly skilled Tibetan artisans under her for over seventeen years. Her team consists of twenty women working alongside her in the studio, lending their skills and techniques to the production of jewelry designs, as well as with the sales staff.
Our Editor’s Picks for her collections this year are as follows: The Gold Leaves Pendant features a simple, but lovely handmade gold vermeil chain with three 1” leaf pendant charms hanging from a circular link. For a bolder look with a touch of flair, the Classic with a Twist Necklace is a must! This piece is a twist on the classic pearl necklace and features a 40" hand-knotted necklace with semi-precious beads of mixed moonstone, champagne pearl, sunstone, coffee quartz, citrine and marble agate. Entwined between the beads are three 22K gold vermeil artsy oval links. This lovely piece can be work long or easily doubled. If you want a playful, yet elegant eye catching necklace, the 30” Copper Rhudilated Quartz Chain is perfect! Made of handmade gold vermeil oval chain links interlocked with other gold links in varying styles, shapes, and thickness, it exhibits a semi-precious copper rhudilated quartz teardrop, with ruby and orange citrine briolette drops. This striking piece combines the beauty of raw gold metal with hand cut stones.

Wendy attended UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, and Columbia University, and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Painting. Wendy was born with a creative spirit as she has always painted, and possessed a strong interest in fashion, color, and textiles. Color is an essential element in her design process and her ideas flow forth by incorporating old and new materials between seasons and applying a palette of colors.
Wendy Mink Jewelry features five new collections annually, while carrying through a handful of “classic” designs for boutiques with popular sales or because of customer demand. Her collections are sold at many fine boutiques across the US, Asia, and Europe, as well as high end department stores like Barneys New York, Takashimaya, and Bergdorf Goodman.
